Motor Coach Tour    Tour Number: Tour #27
After touring Denver's mountain parks, you'll understand the universal attraction to the area. We leave Denver behind as we drive west into the foothills, a transitional area between the Great Plains to the east and the majestic Rockies to the west. Our first stops are in Red Rocks Park & Amphitheater, a popular venue for both performers and audiences due to its nearly perfect acoustics and beautiful mountain setting. It will be easy to see how the park got its name with the beautiful color in geology all around. We allow time for walking and for pictures as well as for refreshments. Our travels continue up Bear Creek Canyon along the route of pioneer stage coaches to the town of Evergreen, Colorado. Wildlife may be seen throughout the trip including elk, deer and the great North American Bison, also called buffalo. Our final stop is at Buffalo Bill Cody's gravesite and museum overlooking the entire Denver area. Admission to the Buffalo Bill museum is included in your tour. We spend a while here so you may explore all there is to see and do. From there, you'll follow the old "Lariat Trail" to Golden, home of the Colorado School of Mines and Coors beer.
