Contemporary design features accentuate the 80,000 sq. ft. casino, the center of action in the South Coast. Gaming amenities include more than 2,400 of the most popular slot and video poker machines featuring ticket-in, ticket-out technology, a popular standard set by Coast Casinos. South Coast will also be a part of Club Coast, a slot club system that joins all of Coast Casinos properties. The casino pit will feature over 60 table games including Craps, Baccarat, 21, Roulette, Three Card Poker and Pai Gow.
A freshly designed Race and Sports Book features over 300 seats with separate viewing areas for horse and sports action. An adjacent sports lounge provides the perfect place to grab a beverage and watch the action. The third bingo room of the Coast Casinos family will have 600 seats and feature Cash Ball and Bonanza jackpots.

It was called South Coast Hotel & Casino owned by Boyd Gaming Corp. It is sold to Michael Gaughan and renamed South Point on October 26, 2006.
